Um…when did bras become an acceptable substitution for shirts?
I saw a woman today wearing shorteralls (crime enough) and no shirt underneath. Just a bra. And she was in a restaurant! What ever happened to the whole no shirt, no shoes, no service thing? Isn’t it against the law? A health code violation? Not to mention it’s just plain grody.
And for those of you (ahem…dudes) who think this is so NOT a problem, I’d like you to think about whether or not you’d appreciate seeing your sister in this outfit. Or your daughter. Or your mother.
Yep. Grody. You’re welcome for the visual.
And while I’m perfectly aware that if she were wearing a bikini top instead, she’d essentially be wearing the same thing; however, a bikini is meant to be worn on the outside. A bra is an undergarment. The former suggests she spent a day in the sun while the latter makes it seem like she just left the house and forgot to get all the way dressed.
Is it really a fashion statement? Was she pushing the envelope? Or did she really just forget to put on a shirt? The world will never know.
